So, about Whirl’s hands

Early on in the comic Whirl talks to Orion Pax in prison, he says this:

He wants His hands back, the one’s he used to make watches with, the ones he knows are perfect

And when Ratchet thought he might die at the hand s of Overlord he was already willing to give Whirl his hands if he got killed

Because they are the best there are!

And he knows that Whirl is a watchmaker that wouldn’t get his hands repaired after empurata

Because nothing could possibly replace the hands he had already lost!

And then this happens:

When Ratchet really dies he still, after all those years, wanted to give his hands to Whirl

And Whirl doesn’t accept them, because after all those years of selfloathing and not being able to return to his former life

He doesn’t need his hands back anymore!

He accepts himself!
